Gifts for the Host

A couple of months ago, a friend of mine and I were invited to a dinner at new friend’s house.  We wanted to bring an original hostess gift, but we end up with the oh so boring bottle of wine. The holidays are here and I know many of us are going to be invited to; get together, holiday parties and other holiday events that are going to required a hostess gift.  This is why I wanted to share a few not so traditional but fabulous hostess gift ideas.

Coffee Table Books

Now that we are in an era of Ipads, kindals  and nooks finding books, receiving a book can be a true treasure. Some of my favorites are the ones release by fashion houses or fashion designers.  Another personal favorite are the ones with unique images of people of amazing places.

A Scented Candle

Yes it sounds a bit of a cliché gift, but trust me a good scented candle can be a fabulous gift. Find what is your host favorite scent ( some people love the tipical holiday scentes such as cinnamon apple, other prefer confortable all year around scent such as vanilla)  and look for a pleasant not to overwhelming scente

Personalizes Sketch

After leaving the dinner party, I was kicking myself for not thinking about this earlier.  Who doesn’t love a fabulous one of a kind personalize sketch!( And well I make them!) They are not expensive and look amazingly chic with the right frame!!!

P.S.  You can also order stationary cards, thank you card, etc..

Exotic Teas

I have a few friends who instead of drinking coffee, they drink tea. I think a gift of exotic tea can be a creative gift. I love this flower Blooming Tea, very exotic, fabulous and delish!
